Eva Abad is a psychotherapist licensed in the State of Florida. She has experienced working with children, teens, and adults of all ages, using an integrative approach of counseling, with a combination of therapies and techniques depending of the individual’s needs. Each person is unique, with a distinctive background and life experience, thus treatment is tailored looking at all individual factors as well as environment and social aspects.
Eva attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she completed her Master degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor degree in Psychology. She lives in the North Miami Beach area and is originally from Peru, speaking Spanish and English fluently. Prevention is as or much important than treatment, so Eva provides consultation and educational workshops focused on helping parents obtain the skills needed to raise an emotionally healthy child or teenager. She also helps committed couples to obtain relationship skills to avoid becoming a divorce statistic. Eva’s mission is to empower people to live their lives to their full potential by helping them care for their emotional and mental health. She has volunteered in foster homes, hospice centers, refugees with extensive trauma history, and currently providing pro-bono services to individuals with disabilities.
