Nici Haerter is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern in the state of Florida. She has a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College and an undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Central Florida. She is also a professional musician (harpist) with a “Healing Harp” program for skilled nursing facilities, retirement communities and hospitals. She is a member of both the American Counseling Association and American Harp Society. She enjoys incorporating the creative arts into counseling, thus striving to unlock that creative heart of each individual. She specializes in sand tray which is an expressive arts therapy, utilized in therapy with both adults and children. She has over twenty years of case management experience, specializing in the field of geriatrics. “I enjoy my work with older adults and am able to assist with a multitude of obstacles related to transitions and losses that may be experienced during this stage of life as well as with their caregivers and loved ones. With a background in social work, I often view my clients through a cultural and environmental lens, thus respecting and celebrating our unique values and differences.”
