I'm a bilingual (Spanish) Florida licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 11 years of experience working with individuals, families and couples looking to transform their lives. I strongly believe that each difficult situation we experience is an opportunity for personal growth, and to live a more fulfilling and joyful existence.
I obtained both, my Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in Mental Health Counseling degrees from Argosy University School of Professional Psychology in February 2007. I completed my internship at a domestic violence shelter, where I received specialized domestic violence training. During this time, I provided individual and family counseling to victims/survivors and their families, and also facilitated support groups for the victims. For 7 years I provided therapeutic services to children and families from a variety of cultural backgrounds. I served as Clinical Supervisor for a residential program offering mental health services to migrant children from Central America, while also providing them with counseling and psychoeducational groups. I also provided therapeutic services to children and adults of sexual abuse. I understand that counseling can sometimes feel intimidating, that’s why I offer a comfortable, supportive and non-judgmental environment. My approach is highly personalized and tailored to each of my clients’ individual needs.
