Kylee has been educated and worked in the field of mental health for over fifteen years. Kylee began her studies at Hope College in Holland, Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. From her undergraduate studies, Kylee completed her Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Kylee also received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Counselor Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Her dissertation work was titled, “Parent Response to Adolescent Self-Injurious Behavior: A Collective Case Study."
Kylee has worked in a variety of mental health areas including community mental health with children and adults, substance abuse, domestic violence, school counseling, and child & adolescent psychiatric residential treatment. Kylee has an intense passion for helping and working with children, adolescents, individuals, and families who are dealing with mental health issues and life situations that present struggles and challenges. Her clinical specialties include child & adolescent mental health, self-injurious behaviors, trauma work, serious emotional & behavioral issues, mood disorders & mood management (depression, bipolar, anxiety), cognitive behavioral therapy, and chronic mental illness. |
